Over at Hot Air they are claiming that this was some sort of epic smackdown proving Palin’s awesomeness (or something).

When stupid becomes smart.

What does this prove, other than that Bristol offers her opinion when it’s really not necessary? The woman asks a stupid question and Sarah obliges with a sarcastic answer. What’s the big deal, here?

Elect candidates who understand the Constitution?

Palin?

She seems to have problems with the First Amendment to name a few.

Touché.

That was a lot of words spewed… but she really didn’t say anything.

It proves that Palin does not think much of teachers (nice sarcastic look at Bristol and eye roll when that “real American” said she was a teacher) and that Bristol is a bit of a snot (my mom is represenin’ America) and none of them really like free speech (the sign was torn down by the Palin folks after the guy who allowed the woman to place the sign on his property left) and that basically they are the asses many of us already figured them to be.

It’s ridiculous to say that Palin doesn’t think much of teachers. I acknowledge the eye roll, but the reason for it that you put forth does not make sense. Look at her family. Her parents are teachers and she uses that as a point of pride when she wants to deflect any criticism of her as anti-science.

I don’t think much of Bristol, anyway.

If Sarah Palin herself or anyone under her direction was frisking people or destroying property, then that’s uncalled for. Since Shannyn Moore wasn’t there and doesn’t know the details of who did what or who said what, and since she has a clear agenda, I’ll take her comments with a grain of salt.

Well Dan it sure seems like Sarah makes plenty of comments about professors, higher education and the elitists it produces. Perhaps she doesn’t have a problem with “teachers” who are really parents who home-indoctrinate their children to refudiate the lame-stream, government run educational system.

“Teachers” who are really parents who teach their kids things at home: how scary!

I roll my eyes at just about anyone who thinks that their occupation gives them some extra moral authority to speak out on some issue. I also tend to roll my eyes when someone tries to appear intelligent, but fails miserably (holding up a “Worst Governor Ever” sign while complaining that Sarah Palin resigned). I’d sure as hell roll my eyes at someone who told me she was a teacher after demonstrating that she can’t add 2 and 2.

So instead of this stupid meme that Sarah Palin has a disdain for the teaching profession, I’m sure she rolls her eyes whenever she meets one of the idiots that we trust the education of our children to.

and there ya go…
Dan thanks for playing, I’s sure President Palin will have a lovely parting gift for you.

It’s a pity. One of the few times I’ve ever liked Sarah was when she told Biden his wife would ‘have her reward in heaven’ for teaching.
