Pakistan’s ISI and Naxalite terrorists Working Together? - The Times of India
NAGPUR: The recent arrests of six persons by Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh police, aided by the central security agencies, have brought to the fore the sinister move by Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) and Naxalites to link up. Experts feel that the alliance was a fallout of their common hatred for India.
The possibility of this happening was already brought to the fore by the intelligence agencies in the past. Yet, interception of suspects receiving aids from a mole working for Dubai-based gangster Chhota Shakeel only confirmed how the Pakistani intelligence wing was trying to exploit left-wing extremism in India.
Naxalites, so far a big challenge in the interiors of the country may assume a bigger threat in cities too with ISI pumping money, arms and ammunitions. The nexus may make their fights against security forces even fiercer. The intelligence agencies had been engaged in intercepting such communications and blocking the channels opened up for the purpose for some time.
