Oh My God! It’s a Ramadan Jazz Jihad!
Far away from the Ground Zero Mosque radical Islamists are stealing our music.
‘Jazz in Ramadan’ debuts with soulful fare
The courtyard of the archaeological museum on the grounds of Topkapı Palace was the beautiful historical setting for the soulful music of the official debut of “Jazz in Ramadan,” a new festival presented by Hakan Erdoğan Productions.
Especially designed for Ramadan in İstanbul, under the aegis of the 2010 European Capital of Culture, “Jazz in Ramadan” (“Ramazan’da Caz”) has been organized by Erdoğan specifically within the Islamic calendar’s Ramadan celebration, perhaps the first such event in modern times. The festival will continue with world-renowned jazz musicians from the Muslim world through Aug. 31.
To add insult to injury this triumphant thievery is being perpetrated at Topkapı Palace.
The Topkapı Palace is a palace in Istanbul, Turkey, which was the official and primary residence in the city of the Ottoman Sultans for 400 years of their 624-year reign, from 1465 to 1856.
The palace was a setting for state occasions and royal entertainments and is a major tourist attraction today, containing the most holy relics of the Muslim world such as the Prophet Muhammed’s cloak and sword.
Initial construction began in 1459, ordered by Sultan Mehmed II, the conqueror of Byzantine Constantinople.
Outrageous! If I were a Tea Partier I’d fill by pantaloons with humus!
Among the groups performing: Dhafer Youssef
Ahmad Jamal Trio- Ahmads Blues
Why hasn’t Obama spoken out against this obvious cultural aggression? If only Palin could see Turkey from her house we might be saved.
