Fantasy Football, anyone?
Football season is almost here, and we may have just enough time to put a league together. I’m creating this page as a place for lizards to gather and show their interest in having a fantasy team in the Lizard League. Yahoo Fantasy Sports is the go-to medium, so I’ve set up a league there. League settings are pretty standard, but certainly negotiable. We’ll do autodraft, of course. Ideally, we’ll have 10 or 12 teams. We’ll say first-come, first-served, so if you want in, comment on this page right away. On the other hand, it’s a drag when people don’t keep their teams up, so if you don’t really have the time (or inclination) to keep up your team, then don’t sign up!
Now for privacy. You have to use your email address to sign up, but you can set up your team to keep your email address private. That’s pretty much what everyone does in real life, anyways. I don’t want to open the league up to the world, though, so you’ll have to shoot a note to the league’s big boss (that’s me). Email address is lgfcommish at yahoo dot com. You have my absolute word that I will keep everything private, but if you don’t want to send via a real address (and that won’t hurt my feelings at all), you can set up a junkmail type account and use that one. I’ll send back the URL to register and the league password.
To sum it up, if you want to play:
1) Comment on this Page - say, “I want to play!” or something even more creative
2) Send a note to the address lgfcommish at yahoo dot com, and I’ll send you the goods
One last thing - trash talk is a premium, so leave your feelings on the sidelines. If things like, “Hey, Bob, my grandma has better running backs than you”, then stay out of the league!
