I go to a friend's house for a lot of the games and he does the DVR thing to avoid the commercials. I HATE IT. Because they never get the starting point right, and you miss shit. The alcohol being consumed doesn't help with the accuracy.

i have this cool, expensive remote control (my wife bought it at some flea market...she comes home with a lot of crap but once in a while she scores;) that will skip ahead in precise increments, and because commercial slots are always standard increments, i always land right at the end of the commercial.

the best thing about a dual-tuner DVR is being able to pause 2 channels. so on Thursday i was rocking the South Carolina and the Ohio State game...pause one, switch to the other, watch, pause, switch back, watch...

heh...i do that during big10 games. that's one of the reasons i like watching the Gators...because i like them, but i don't love them. Loving a team is as much of a curse as a blessing, you know;)

yeah, they pump cold air along the bench. you sit down and they stick the hose down underneath your shoulder pads. it's a great trick to lower core body temperatures in a hurry.

Not really, it's just that Illinois sucks to high heaven.

This is the last year in the 6-year series they've played, and Mizzou has now won all 6. How pathetic is that!?! I'm not really an Illinois fan, but i tend to root for the big10.

Michigan just put together a 96yd drive on UConn, though. This could be a really interesting game. UConn should be pretty good this year (well, by UConn standards).

Speaking of the big10, did you see Terrelle Pryor on Thursday? Wow. Someone taught that big boy how to throw over the summer. They may actually not be overrated for once...next weekend (U of Miami vs OSU) is going to be really interesting. Jacory Harris had a great game too, although Miami played inferior competition.
