Lizard 101 - The Truth About ‘LFG’ and The Terrible Secret of ‘LFG’
And no, “LFG” is not MY typo. Read on.
Since some newer folks wonder where the terms involving LGF Lizards came from, these posts from 2003 (before registration! Can you imagine?) should solve the mystery.
And
We also see the term “gamy buttocks” used in “The Truth about LFG”, and a reference to the weekly Zionist checks in “The Terrible Secret of LFG”. I can’t find where the zionist checks first came into play; if anyone knows, let me know and I’ll update this page.
“Hatchling” is, of course, the term used to describe newly registered (hatched) lizards.
I’m editing to include some additional information.
The term “Class of 2004” is often used. Prior to about June 2004, registration was not required. “Class of 2004” refers to those folks who were here and registered during that first 2004 registration period.
Here is a comment by Lawhawk which further describes the class of 2004.
Class of 2004 is best described as the first wave of registered commenters.
Prior to June 2004, Charles had open posting. Anyone who wanted to post, could. Thereafter, he instituted registration and the first wave is known as class of 2004.
Since then, quite a few members of that initial group have been banned for any number of reasons, not the least of which was disrespecting Charles in any number of ways, making threats, espousing violence, trollish behavior, personality conflicts with other members, etc.
There aren’t that many members of the class of 2004 left (and I know as one of ‘em).
I can’t find any information as to when Stinky Beaumont, the janitorial engineer, made his first appearance. I did find that Stinky registered in March of 2007, but in a search, I also found his name mentioned a few times prior to that.
The “Iron Fist” Rule - this is still sometimes seen in use. It refers to the nic of a now-banned poster who would post, seriously, the weirdest s—t in the world when he was drunk, completely garbled and very often, quite violent stuff. I saw a couple of those before they were deleted. The “Iron Fist” rule is, basically, if you think you’re too drunk to post, then you are.
