Indeed it is. American voters should vote with that in mind.

Perhaps there’s a substantial portion of the population that agrees with the sentiment and they’ve just held their lip for so long that we were able to convince ourselves they were gone.

Having grown up in the Southern US, I can say without hesitation that you nailed it right on the head. I would even go so far as to say that they really weren’t even hiding it, just most people believed that it was only a few die-hard bigots.

yeah

I never lived in the South, I’ve always been in the NW, but I sorta suspected that there was a lot of this under the surface :(
