This was my first time hearing him speak as well. I think that the tea baggers will avoid this like the plague.

I'm not so sure, given how the teabaggers have embraced both 9/11 Troofer nutball Alex Jones and the John Birch Society, both of whom would have been reviled as fringe nuts just a few years ago.

I'd like to believe that David Duke would be immediate political poison for anyone, but given what we've seen from the right and from the teabaggers lately, I wouldn't be surprised at all if people are sympathetic to him or even agree with what he says.

Given the recent history of racism within the Tea Party movement? I see the opposite- there are going to be factions that welcome him with open arms.

Wow. He gives batshit crazy a bad name. It is rather interesting that old school antisemitism and racism, such as his, can so easily acclimate itself to the Tea Party movement. Obviously not all tea partiers are racist and antisemitic as this butthole is, but the anxiety driven by economic hardship we're seeing can, and often does, lead to xenophobic impulses. Scary time these are.
