You can disagree all you want but that doesn't change reality you buckhead. I love the whole "pretend" game that religious conservatives play all the time. They "pretend" that intelligent design isn't creationism and they pretend the Constitution is entirely constructed of right wing talking points. They "pretend" that their isn't any global warming but if there is it's not man made and if it is then it still doesn't matter because god gave us this planet to fuck up as we see fit.

Buckheads... the lot of em.

I disagree strongly with the concept of having Ken Buck as my senator.

The Republican Party has shown its true colors once again during this election season. They are the party of atavistic, theocratic nincompoops.

Medieval thinking was largely excluded from the Constitution, much the the wingnuts' lament. With any luck, they can bring it back, state by state. Bless their hearts, they're sure trying.

And it's not a holiday tree, it's a Halloween tree. And mine will be up through Christmas. Because I can.

Have a Halloween tree, a Christmas tree, a Hanukkah bush, a holiday tree, or no tree - it's all fine. Unless, of course, you happen to be a fascist right wing thug.

And don't forget to vote.

There seems to be a growing meme on the Right that the 1st Amendment restriction on Congress to "make no laws respecting an establishment of religion" was not for the purpose of protecting individual rights, but rather was intended to protect the power of the individual states to establish their own official religions. Thats right, they want to establish an American theocracy one state at a time.

In his statement, he also criticized President Obama for calling the White House Christmas tree a "holiday tree." "It's just flat wrong in my mind," he added.

I hate to tell you, Buck, but that Christmas tree of yours is actually a Yule tree. You've absorbed and are defending a pagan tradition, you boob.

Funny. James Madison created the Bill of Rights, and he spoke of the total separation of Church and State as being necessary to preserve both.

Yep. Just like the pagan fertility symbols (i.e., eggs and rabbits) that were incorporated into Easter, and the fact that Christmas just happens to fall when a number of pagan winter festivals that took place.

Funny isn't it? Seriously, does Ken Buck not understand why we have seperation of church and state in the first place? We've gone from outright denial that it exists ala O'Donnell to now questioning its necessity with guys like Buck. I t's going ot be really bad if people like this get in to positions of power.

Ask Mr Buck which "church" should be less "separate". I'll bet he has one in mind. Then we can have that religious war we missed because our founding fathers were not anywhere near as stupid as Mr Buck.
They say the road to hell is paved with good intentions, and I'll bet it has a lot of flags and crosses on the way with folks like Mr Buck waving one all the way..
