Jonah Goldberg thinks assassination is the answer
So a lovely op-ed appeared in the Chicago Tribune today.
Some of the choicer bits of crazy.
I’d like to ask a simple question: Why isn’t Julian Assange dead?
So again, I ask: Why wasn’t Assange garroted in his hotel room years ago?
…
It’s a serious question.
…
Under either scenario, you’d think Assange, super-whistle-blower of the international left, would be a greasy stain on the Autobahn already.
This is what our political discourse has come to, calls for assassination in a major newspaper. Disgusting.
Assange may be doing things that you don’t personally agree with. But he is doing and showing things that major news reporters aren’t. Some of this is misguided. Some of it is enlightening.
None of it is worth assassination.
He is telling the truth. I think that’s worth commending. No matter where you might stand politically.
