The author knows all of these things because he has a tinfoil hat that can simultaneously read the mind of the President while seeing two years into the future.

Do the job descriptions at World Nut Daily read: Be a crazy as possible while titling your column “A Voice of Sanity”. Is that really so creative after the whole ‘Fair and Balanced” thing?

You do know that this sort of thing was said about Bush, and Clinton before him….

This isn’t anti Obama… this is anti President… whoever the president happens to be.

No. I don’t believe that is correct. Maybe Alex Jones said something like that about Bush. I don’t recall anyone else.

Robert Ringer was famous in the late 70s and early 80s, when his business oriented books Winning Through Intimidation and Looking Out for Number One were best sellers. As the titles suggest, these took a decidedly cynical and ruthless approach to success in the business world and were part of the inspiration for the plain meanness that characterized faddish business culture in the Reagan years.
He is still a major celebrity in Randian circles and, of course, a major booster of the Pauls.

I don’t think anyone as well connected or influential as Robert Ringer said this about Clinton or Bush. Again, Ringer is not well known to the general public (anymore) but he is a real power in the world of Randian business philosophy and libertarian economics. Just go to any libertarian oriented motivational seminar and ask people if they have read his books.

Please Ringer if Obama was going to cancel the 2012 elections, he would have canceled the 2010 ones to prevent the Republicans from taking over the house. Either Obama’s not the evil dictator you say he is or he’s the most alzy one ever. Seriously, this shit is just lame.

DUDES! YOU ARE MISSING A GOLDEN OPPORTUNITY HERE!

Did you see the ad for that 150 page report on Obama’s Secret Agenda? You have a license to print money here! Write the wackiest, most tripped out conspiracy crap your warped little mind can think of. Channel your inner spook and write survival manuals on how to kill attackers using only your ear lobe. It won’t work, but after they find out, it will be too late to ask for their money back. Sell books on how to remain off the grid (Tip 1: take the neon sign off your house). Sell plans for perpetual motion machines, invisibility cloaks, and inter-dimensional portals they can duck into when the sekrit po-lice come. Have a ball! It’ll be more fun than writing for the Weekly World News!

I remember this meme circulating on the fringe back in the late 90s (e.g., Clinton was going to use Y2K as a pretext for fill-in-the-blank), but I can’t recall any conspiracy theorists saying the same thing about Bush, although Glenn Beck was warning us about FEMA camps when he was still at CNN/HN.

I remember various people on the far left were worried that Bush would cancel the 2008 elections. This is just more of the swivel-eyed lunatics playing to the fears of their base. Unfortunately, the swivel-eyed lunatics seem to be trying to take over the Republican party.

What are you talking about? Obama had to let the Republicans win the House so that he can label the House as “enemies of the people” and put all the Republicans in FEMA camps. Then he can declare a state of emergency and cancel the elections.

That would be the obvious thing for him to do. But Obama is pretty tricky. I heard that he actually plans to pretend to lose the 2012 election as well. He will remain the secret the President who can destroy the country (again) so that President Palin gets the blame. After the country gets sufficiently re-destroyed, he will seize the opportunity to install Malia as the first leader of The Marxist Sharia Caliphate of Afro-Amerika. I think it’s pretty obvious what happens after that.

Like Obama would appoint a girl as the first leader of the Marxist Sharia CAliphate :).

And it’s just as much an absurd fabrication now as it was then.

What should we do? Ignore the fact that nuts like Ringer are polluting the discourse?

I remember hearing the same bullshit in 2004 and (to a lesser extent) in 2008.

The conspiracy theorists don’t care whether it’s a Democrat or a Republican, it all looks the same from under the tin-foil hat.
