The debate should be brought out in the open. And it should start in America. Especially since this issue effects the world economy.

The more facts people get the better off we all are.

The debate already is completely out in the open. Always has been.

There’s a great line in the movie “Sullivan’s Travels” that might apply here. Joel McRae is a movie director that wants to make an epic film, a film with meaning, that will last for the ages, that will touch people, that will change people. The producer adds, “But with a little sex.” And McRae says, “Yes, and with a little sex.”

The scientific part of the debate was settled long ago. Much like evolution, all that remains of the debate are the talking points of vested, non-scientific interests. The science is quite clear and firmly established.

Scientists do not hide their work. They publish it and it survives or fails through harsh review and the ultimate criticism of the data from the natural world itself.

I invite you to look at the multitude of published research here that I linked to in this post:

Hey, your link was posted on my birthday!

I’m not saying the debate hasn’t started or denying CC isn’t happening. I just don’t believe that the issue is being openly debated as a serious issue in America. Since we are still the exceptional country of the world, we need to lead. We need to hurry.

Deniers and alarmists need to state their case and then let the chips fall where they may. I do think that we will need more than 700 scientists speaking out for or against to make a dent in some kind of control over the actions of 6,000,000,000 humans.

I believe if humans would start taking better care of themselves and their personal environment our planet would benefit greatly. I see small trash in my neighborhood on the side of the road. They throw trash where they live. I can see they don’t care. It’s sad and irritates me.

What each of us does in a micro setting effects the macro. So, we can debate about the planet dying all day and trying to control everybody’s CO2 output, but this needs to start at home. Educating consumers to be more conservative. It can actually save them money. But now the government may get involved and it will cost all of us.
