Chandra’s M-13 Killer
Throughout his trial, the murderer of Washington intern Chandra Levy wore a turtleneck to hide his MS-13 gang tattoos. Like too many immigrants, he was here illegally.
The Associated Press didn’t mention it in Monday’s coverage of Ingmar Guandique’s conviction in the celebrated case. Levy, romantically linked with then-Rep. Gary Condit, D-Calif., turned up missing in 2001.
But Guandique is an illegal alien from El Salvador. And he’s yet another example of why Washington must crack down on the 12 million-plus illegals here, rather than offer them amnesty. They commit secondary crimes — including a disturbing number of violent assaults — despite President Obama’s claim they “stay out of trouble” and work “low-wage” jobs Americans won’t take.
