Over at Debbie Schlussel’s web page, she thinks she has insight into the murder of a Jewish businessman in Atlanta last week.

As some of you may already suspect, based on the witness sketch, Schlussel has determined that this man is a Muslim, based on his beard.

“As reader Joe pointed out, the guy looks like a Muslim, mostly because of his beard and some of the facial features. And the man is described as a White man. Few non-Muslim White men wear the kind of beard in the sketch. And few non-Muslim White men have the kinds of facial topography illustrated in the photo.”

This guy could be a Muslim, sure although the ‘facial topography’ bit is kind of hilarious, if it wasn’t so not-very-borderline racist. And we probably didn’t need an entire paragraph explaining how specifically Muslim this man’s style of chin-whiskers is. (Note to Debbie, I also see this style on Christian and Jewish hipsters a lot.)

Schlussel interrupts her weird racial rant to trash the victim for a bit. “Although it appears that Sneiderman and his wife were typical Jewish liberals (who generally pander to Muslims and serve as their chief apologists), that makes no difference in global jihad. Liberal Islamo-pandering Jews, like Daniel Pearl, are eagerly cut up like chickens by Muslims, in a New York minute.”

Right. So, liberal Islamo-pandering Jews, take note. You may not only be cut up like a chicken, but mocked as a typical Jewish liberal after your violent death. By Debbie Schlussel.

After that, Debbie returns to her original point: “That nose on the sketch just ain’t your average White guy’s nose. Not even your average White hit man’s nose. And saying so isn’t “bigoted.” It’s intellectually honest and could help catch this murderer sooner.”

Actually, it’s creepy as hell. What you mean, Debbie, is that this guy looks like an Arab. He could be. He could also be a Jew, an Italian, or an Anglo dude with a black grandma, or a million other things. Fantasizing that it will help catch him quicker to assume that anyone killing a Jew in Atlanta has to be a Muslim is just crap. Sorry.

“I will be following this story, though if the killer does turn out to be Islamic, I bet we’ll never hear about it,” Debbie concludes.

“You know– it gets in the way of the “religion of peace” meme and all that.”
