The Turkish alcohol market is growing and diversifying despite the global financial crisis, high taxes and advertising bans, the Wall Street Journal reported Monday.
“With countries like Spain, Italy and Greece, where they traditionally sell alcohol, plagued by economic troubles, liquor-company executives are turning to a perhaps unlikely Mediterranean market: Turkey,” the WSJ said.
It’s not completely clear that Turkey is Islamist, as Daniel Pipes is saying.
