Weird. Maybe if that office got paid on commission from recoveries, we could afford it. Otherwise, yes, it does seem to be another layer in bureaucracy, that isn’t necessary.

The independence of the auditors office is the real loss. Otherwise we have the fox watching the hen house. At least that is my worry. But if the gov follows up with the agencies and enforces discipline kudos. If, big if. The Gov is in a battle with the agencies status quo and sense of importance. Tough to overcome.

Very tough. It can be done, but I have less than no confidence that it will be executed properly.
