Indictment handed down in bomb threat to Paladino HQ
Another example of heated rhetoric and threats; no matter how much of a wingnut Paladino is, threats go over the line. Kudos to the Feds for following up on this because regardless of political stance making threats against campaign offices is political terrorism.
A community activist from New York City has been indicted by a federal grand jury in Buffalo, accused of threatening to bomb the campaign headquarters of Carl P. Paladino last April.
Miles Fisher, 63, is charged with a felony of making a threat and conveying false information in connection with a bomb hoax, U.S. Attorney William J. Hochul Jr. said.
Fisher was arrested on a criminal complaint last June by agents from the FBI and the Joint Terrorism Task Force of Western New York. The grand jury indictment is the next procedural step in the felony case.
During the heated gubernatorial campaign last April 13, Fisher called Paladino’s campaign headquarters in Ellicott Square and said he was “going to bomb all of you,” federal agents said in court papers.
