Police create timeline of Loughner’s morning before arrest
In the early-morning hours before he was arrested on charges of shooting U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords and 18 others, Jared Loughner attempted twice to buy ammunition and told his friends “goodbye” on his MySpace account, according to sheriff’s documents released Friday.
The timeline of events, made public by the Pima County Sheriff’s Department, pulls together details before and after the Saturday shooting that killed six and wounded 13 outside a northwest Tucson grocery store. Loughner, 22, faces federal murder and assault charges.
