SD Republicans try to equate mandatory gun ownership with the health care bill
I personally can understand how some people are rather wary about a health care mandate. But there’s already a health care system at which we can look at (Switzerland) and see that it works without all the “tyranny and oppression and economic collapse” that nutty critics are claiming will occur. Not only that, but we’re already mandated to do/buy lots of things, like selective service for us gents and insurance for us drivers and employers and for many professions.
But to think that mandatory gun ownership is the same as mandatory health insurance? ABSURD. Where are there any examples of that elsewhere in the world, and how would that benefit society as a whole?
