If always thought that a lot of this resistance is fueled by some primordial fear. The reality of climate change can be scary shit. I admit, I wish it wasn’t true but I recognize that doesn’t change the veracity of it. Kinda like some of the leading opponents of gay rights turn out to be closet homosexuals. By denying something so adamantly (essentially cognitive dissonance) they really are able to live in a sort of fantasy land where their darkest fears are invalidated and truly believed to be not true.

Um - I’d say climate change denialism is more of a religion.
After all, it’s driven by faith rather than science.
