"and Linking to neoNazi"

Sailer is a racist, but "neo-Nazi" is a more specific term than that, IMHO.

Good point.

Spencer links to the same information over at jihad watch with a link to the Center for Immigration studies which is loaded with ties to the Minutemen and John Tanton.

Well, they dropped their masks a long time ago. Now they're reaching out to the other SPLC-listed hate groups, and not even bothering to hide it any more.

Dees and the SPLC have been pretty successful in their stated goal of exposing hate. It was inevitable they would make a lot of enemies along the way.

Dees is no saint, for sure- but he has never claimed to be one. No one has proven he is guilty of financial malfeasance despite a whole lot of effort.

Does Dees have a strong liberal political bend? Yes, he does. So what. That has nothing to do with how effective he is in exposing hate groups. Just because those groups don't like being brought out into the sunlight doesn't make Dees the bad guy.

There are plenty of organizations that share more conservative views that Dees does not consider hate groups- no doubt because they are not hate groups.

Espousing a contradictory political or cultural view does not label any individual or group as 'hateful'. Espousing a contradictory political or cultural view that includes the demonization and marginalization of others is a pretty fair indicator of hate.

Dees may not be perfect and may not be everyone's cup of tea but in the end, he has done a remarkable job as a watchdog.

His sins and and his mistakes are far out shadowed by his good works.

I love how SIOA claims to be a "human rights organization" while actively seeking to deny even the most basic rights to Muslims. Quoting neo-Nazis and bigots to prove they're not bigoted? Icing on the cake.

Is it wrong that I feel massive schadenfreude right now after reading about the Harpy's flailing and gnashing of teeth? If so, I'm in no hurry to be right.

seems like every day I hear about some new hate group

Hate and stupidity, two things scumbags can always make money on

Remember kids, when denying your bigotry, link to even more bigots to prove you're not!

Geller says, "It's outrageous that the SPLC designates a group dedicated to protecting the freedom of speech, the freedom of conscience, and legal equality for all Americans as a 'hate group. The SPLC, instead of standing for those freedoms, is carrying water for the real haters, the real neo-Nazi Jew-haters: the forces of Islamic supremacism and jihad"

Note she doesn't include freedom of religion.

SPLC lists the following radical Islamic groups.

Nation of Islam

Malik Zulu Shabazz

The New Black Panthers

I can't even begin to list the neo-Nazi, anti-Semitic groups and individuals. It's the majority of the site.

Who does she think she's kidding?

Folsom Street Fair has nothing to do with the whole of the gay community. All gays are not like that.

Should we assume that all Christians are like Pat Robertson or Jerry Falwell or Jim Baker. Liars, cheats, adulterers? Maybe they should try researching the "real gays". You know, the ones who have quiet family homes, work jobs, help the community and no one has anything bad to say and consider them "Pillars of the Community"...

Of course, they won't. It doesn't fit the profile of "teh gays" that they want to portray.
