Crackdown in Bahrain Leaves At Least Six Dead
Bahraini security, backed by the Saudis, cleared the main square where protesters had encamped demanding political and social reforms. At least six were killed, and hundreds injured in the crackdown.
What’s particularly rich is that Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has the gaul to complain about the Bahraini crackdown - that it was unjustified.
Iran’s mad mullahs and Ahmadinejad have no problem with violent crackdowns when it involved protesters against their regime and they continue to crackdown against opposition leaders, including the house arrest of Mirhussein Mousavi.
What Ahmadinejad is doing is attempting to take advantage of the longstanding Sunni-Shi’ite schism; the protesters in Bahrain are largely Shi’ites and the ruling regime in Bahrain are Sunni.
