Anyone else getting really tired of the Nazi rhetoric the right’s been flogging? My personal least favourite appropriation is the overuse of the word holocaust, and especially when it comes from the anti-choice brigade in reference to abortion.

It was probably about a year ago I happened upon some wackadoodle pro life web site that had their own videos in the upper right sidebar, talking about the holocaust of the unborn, with Obama as Hitler. I wish I remembered which group it was, but the entire site read like a conspiracy manifesto, dotted with donate links and scary scripture and lots and lots of dead and carved up fetus pictures.

I also remember some links from that site to a couple other sites talking about how birth control pills are murder. Bow before the God of Sperm, and it’s God’s will sex leads to pregnancy, blah blah lobotomy blah blah.

I vaguely remember one video with piles of dead corpses, Obama, some swastikas - it was just sick. It was the typical torture pr0n for fundies. You know, the same braindead fucks who insist on only watching Star Wars videos their church has already edited for objectionable content, but then send their homeskoold kids out on the streets to barrage the unwashed with dead fetus posters. Yeah, those pious sheep. Them. Those fucks.

Similarly, remember when everyone had their britches in a knot the peaceful Muslims weren’t out in the streets of Anytown USA denouncing the radicals? The usual commentary was something like, “Well, if there really are peaceful Muslims that love America, why aren’t they more vocal about condemning the radicals? That’s because there aren’t any peaceful Muslims!”

I think it’s time to start asking all the good Christians of America the same thing, because right now it’s pretty hard to hear anything above the din of the radicals. And those radicals also happen to be politicians. And I suspect a good portion of those “moderate” Christians voted for them.

This may in fact be my favourite post you’ve ever done, and that’s saying a lot.

re: #2 iceweasel

I know there are a lot of Christians that don’t go along with all the fundie bullshit other Christians and the fundie politicians are saying, but I’d like to see and hear more from them. And the Christian population far exceeds the population of Muslims that were expected to speak up. Which is it - complacency, apathy, or agreement? I think it’s important they start using their voices.

A billion? Ma’am, you’re a gullible idiot.

And what’s this shit about people delivering prophecy? You’re fucking guessing what’s going to happen in the future. In this case, you had a mental picture of what you want to happen in the future. It’s not fucking prophecy, it’s called daydreaming. Get the fuck over yourself.

re: #4 Girth

Yeah, Jacobs also claimed to have had a prophecy about Japan:

In the early nineties, the Lord gave me a prophecy for Japan that it was a “sickle in the hand of the Lord” that will be used for great harvest.

I’ve been sick of it for the last 20 years. It’s tiresome and stupid.
