And all this time here I was thinking that the men and women in the American military were the best in the world because of their superior training, superior equipment, and superior discipline. Turns out that they just have a superior imagination in their supernatural powers.

Who was that idiot
I don't know, but I bet we'll see plenty of her on Fox & Friends in the near future. Provided of course that the "origin story" for her supernatural powers comes from a judeo-ChristianTM source.

Just for fun I looked around a little for studies on the survival of atheists and the religious.
Not many actual studies out there, apparently. In medical situations studies have given conflicting results on survival, so I'm guessing its irrelevant. And the good doctor herself (Wendy Walsh) quotes a study of Muslims in India (who tend to have lower socio-economic status) having lower infant mortality rates than high caste Hindus. Why she assumes Muslims are more religious than Hindus is not specified and why that would be the only factor that could account for the unexpected result escapes me. How any of this relates to emergency situations also escapes me.
The fact that this was on CNN is a demonstration of why I don't watch CNN much any more.
