Do you remember the Youth For Western Civilization? It was a group that made some news waves during CPAC when its leader, Kevin DeAnna, did an interview with salon.com. The group has since exploded considerably throughout the country, with one of its biggest bases of support now building in eastern Washington - headquartered within Pullman, Washington’s Washington State University campus.

One of their propaganda exercises has been protestation of illegal immigration through theatrical means (this time being the building of a mock fence, while their California cousins in the Bay Area National Anarchists bank with launching boycotts of the film Machete):

We did it. YWC at Washington State University along some with members form University of Idaho and some College Republicans put up a fence on campus. We’re not talking a panel or two, we put up 13 chainlink panels that were 8ft. by 7ft. a piece. You couldn’t miss it.

During the event we passed out fliers giving the facts on the current crisis.

25% of our federal prison population are illegal aliens
40% of illegal aliens have some sort of violent criminal history
estimated national costs for catering to illegals in this country is $113 billion dollars
61% of likely voters support border security over amnesty
63% of Americans support the SB1070 law in Arizona

Our message was well received during the event by most students, especially the good people from ROTC an institution on campus that shall rename nameless. Thanks guys. But of course our logic was going to be challenged. A counter-protest of roughly 60+ people at its climax swarmed our fence. The mob was comprised of what one might expect: a few Progressive Student Union folks, a small assortment from the LGBT community and of course a large composition of the ‘no human is illegal’ crowd.

With taunts and in a few instances of outright racist comments referring to OUR skin color, I have a hard time believing that these supposed tolerant people really practice what they preach. It’s all or nothing for them. Either you are a cosmopolitan globalist or you’re a bigotracistnazi. Remember that conservatives.

Anyways no riots broke out, thankfully, but I somehow think that it had to do with the police officer that was on duty. YWC and College Republicans had to have him there and to add insult to injury we had to pay for him to be there. Money coming directly out of our clubs’ bank accounts. Had it been the other way around and these cosmopolitian bigots had an event all their own I doubt the school administration would have forced them to have a police officer on duty, let alone pay for one with their own money.

And lastly, you know that whole ‘reconquista’ thing, the northern territories the United States won in the Mexican war yet some Mexicans today want back for Mexico? Well a handful of bigots had shirts with reconquista on them! And the whole mob at one time chanted, “We didn’t cross the border, the border crossed us.”*
