Neo-Nazis rally against Illegal Immigrants in Trenton
Roughly 50 members of a neo-Nazi group took to the streets of Trenton on Saturday to speak out against illegal immigrants, crime, and the nation’s leaders.
But the National Socialist Movement members received little support from protesters who oppose the group and its ideology, which they say is racist and anti-Semitic.
The opposing camps were kept separated during the 90-minute rally at the Statehouse by dozens of state police troopers - some shepherding police dogs - and by Trenton officers.
No major problems were reported.
During the rally in the chilly rain, neo-Nazi group members repeatedly responded to the protesters’ derisive and obscene remarks with Nazi salutes and chants of “Sieg Heil.”
