Church and cross burnings, lynchings and other kinds of Klan traditions however, are still alright.

I am sure someone will use this as their “proof” that the KKK are really liberals. You know the no conservatives do anything wrong crowd.

This is mostly a case of coming to the same general conclusion, but by very, very, very different paths.

It certainly seems like that.

There are any number of Ku Klux Klan groups around. The national Klan was abolished in the late 40s when it couldn’t pay its taxes. Since then any yahoo has been able to start his own Klan and many have. This group, Ku Klux Klan LLC, is an Arkansas corporation that claims to be based on the original Reconstruction era Klan rather than the revival Klan of the early 20th Century. It is actually based on a fanciful version of the old Klan as portrayed in presentations like Birth of a Nation.

It makes a weird sort of sense actually (if you put on a blindfold, twirl around until you’re dizzy, then immediately stand on your head). //

There have always been quasi-Klan groups as well, such as the old Knights of the White Camellia. The peak of unity and power came in the early ’20s, before they broke up over internal finance and sex scandal issues. Then the post WWII revival you mention, and the SPLC’s successes against the major surviving fragment groups in the last decades. We’re probably in the third or fourth significant Klan wave. The bastards never stop, and neither will we.

Rofl. KKK LLC probably sells Klan urinal targets to bars with specific clientele.

Practically the first comment proves your point. Guy says “Don’t you know that the KKK was formed as the radical arm of the Democratic Party? Of COURSE they’re going to be against anything related to the Republicans!”

Apparently, political parties cannot change their makeup, views, platforms, allies, affiliations, etc. over the decades. They are forever frozen into whatever they were over a hundred years ago.

The KKK and David Duke do praise Islam and Muslims alot because their Jew-hatred is so overpowering.
