Tucson Tea Party Denounces Backer of Dupnik Recall
Would a teabagger rip off a fellow teabagger? Apparently so.
We mentioned in The Skinny last week that Sam Stone, spokesman for the Pima County Republican Party, dismissed the effort to recall Sheriff Clarence Dupnik as “a stunt and nothing more.”
Now Trent Humphries of the Tucson Tea Party is calling Dan Baltes, the Salt Lake City man behind the recall, a “crook”:

From the Tucson Tea Party blog:
…According to the well-documented site Conning Conservatives, Dan has a long history of scams and is doing pretty good business in Arizona. Some of his featured scams include:1. Purportedly booking Glenn Beck for a three city tour, and charging up to $350 for a ticket. No actual arrangements were made with Beck. All tickets purchased were placed into a Pay Pal account funneled directly to Mr. Baltes.
2. He has filed numerous 527 organizations where the money is not ultimately used for the stated purpose. Some of these groups include:
* Americans Against Immigration Amnesty
* Recall Sheriff Dupnik
* American Patriot Recall Coalition (recalls in Wisconsin)
* Draft Allan West For President 20123. Additionally, for many of his larger events he will secure sponsorships at top dollar with all of the money going into his pocketbook. The event never happens.
Both Beck and Allan West have ordered Baltes to stop using their names and implying any type of relationship….
