Completely ridiculous. Some Christians apparently feel persecuted because not everyone believes as they do, so this fits right in with their mindset.

No kidding.

I saw people on FB complaining about parents sending their kids to school on Friday to make up a snow day instead of keeping them home on Good Friday. Somehow, it was a slight against Christianity for the schools to be open and for kids to go. Unbelievable.

We celebrate Spring Sphere's around these parts. I just can't get into the god killing and digging back up thing. I mean, that's just gross.

One week till Beltane, little Fairies!

The basis of this claim is a 16-year-old private school student named Jessica who called into a right-wing radio show. She claims the edict was communicated to her by an unnamed public school 3rd-grade teacher when she offered to give her student plastic eggs filled with candy.

Straw man Easter eggs made entirely of straw.

I didn't know I'd have to keep up my Halloween deco through Easter, but I guess I better dig that stuff back out so I can wage another war on somebody's religious holiday and ruin the whole damned thing for them.

Orange and black Spring Spheres, black and orange jelly beans, and purple marshmallow peeps gargoyles.

Let me guess. They're pissed because people have taken the Eostre out of Easter?

If Donohue wants so desperately to defend his faith from all these vicious attacks, shouldn't he be getting rid of the Easter eggs all together? Protect the children from multi-colored pagan fertility symbols!

What Donohue wants is money for the League, which is why he is always drumming up one nontroversy after another, or opening his blow hole to play defense for pedos.

It looks like Bill Donohue wants to be the South Park spoof of himself.

Man, some people are way too fond of being at war.

Well, this is quite a fun war, since nothing bad ever actually happens to you.

School was open for Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur and Pesach all through my childhood.

My parents kept me home, and then wrote a note explaining that I'd been out for a religious holiday.

It works quite well.
