Pakistan Sabre rattles towards India: troops violate LoC ceasefire
JAMMU: In the second ceasefire violation in three days, Pakistani troops opened heavy firing for one and half hours along the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district of Jammu & Kashmir late Tuesday, sources said.
According to defence sources, the Pakistani soldiers resorted to unprovoked firing on Shah Pur Post in Poonch district from 7:20pm to about 8:50pm. However, there was no casualty, a senior army officer said.
The Indian troops also retaliated and the exchange of fire continued almost for 90 minutes. Defence sources said that this is the second ceasefire violation in three days.
