Android passes RIM in U.S. as leading mobile OS

Android continued its dominance of the smartphone landscape by shooting past BlackBerry maker RIM as the leading smartphone OS in the U.S., according to new data from ComScore.
Of course, they aren’t taking into account all iOS devices, but the interesting thing here is the trend - RIM, Microsoft and Palm are all going down, while Android and iOS are surging. The writing is on the wall for companies not named Google or Apple…
