Seems to be a web-design tool designed with tablets in mind. If it works as advertised, this could help address the common complaint that browsers on tablets only resize content, but that the display is not customized or customizable. Neat.

Great, just what I need, more standards to deal with that the browser manufacturers will implement inconsistently. *groaning, writhing on floor in agony*

Yeah, it’s a cool idea, but new standards tend to be implemented at a snail’s pace and in a very haphazard manner. Though things have gotten better in recent years (despite IE6’s refusal to die), web design & development is already nightmarishly complex.

I’m not talking about personal/hobby sites or one-off independently owned blogs, I’m talking about sites where corporate clients expect things to actually work without being buggy and to render with consistency across platforms.

Then add in web applications and users who want to connect to social networking and/or the cloud and… *sobbing, cursing, headdesk, headdesk*

Thanks for posting it as I hadn’t heard about it until then.

I apologize for getting a little snarky, but when I responded I’d just spent a couple of hours wrestling with some regular expressions—the syntax of which is utterly evil and requires the casting of arcane voodoo spells to comprehend—so I wasn’t feeling to happy about any kind of new code that might need to be learned.
