It is not just the percentage that exposes them, it is the fact that notwithstanding that so many other countries have records of human rights violations and genocidal acts that exceed by multiples what Israel is accused of, when it has been merely for defending its citizens from attack, that is completely ignored with the total focus on Israel, as if they were the only country in the world that has done anything to deserve censure. There has to be a special factor that puts that total focus, that imposition of an unfair standard compared with all others, that is to blame for it, and in my opinion that special factor is anti-Semitism.
Word.

I would have to agree Slumbering Behemoth; there is no other country in the entire region that is as tolerant or democratic; yet, they receive more criticism.
Great article by the way.

re: #1 Slumbering Behemoth
Exactly.
Obviously one could criticize some aspects of any Israeli government's policies without being anti-Semitic. However, many Israel bashers are anti-Semitic indeed. .
As you have mentioned, one thing that exposes their true feelings: I have seen many active participants in Internet discussion forums who claim to be very concerned with human rights, and who goes on and on with allegations of rights abuses by Israel, often to the point of obsession. But they never once even mention anything about Darfur or massive daily horrors occurring in so many other places: numerous Arab countries, Iran, North Korea, the Congo, Myanmar, etc, etc, etc.
