This is gone too far when will reason surface over all this bloated sensationalism. Women's rights activists and political enemies have united to press this man's life into a dismal corner.

If he raped someone it belongs in a dismal corner.

Tough cookies! But then, ... could this be considered discrimination?

Plan B ...

Strauss-Kahn is expected to live in the corporate housing suite of Stroz Friedberg, a security firm, in lower Manhattan.

I hadn't heard about this particular condition of his release:

As part of the strict conditions, Strauss-Kahn must pay the $200,000-a-month fee for gun-toting guards who are permitted to use force if he tries to escape.

What would be cool is if a hotel rented him a room, he went in, the door closed and locked, and out of the tinnie radio-alarm clock, Karen Carpenter started singing, "We've only just begun."

You're sick. :)

All I had in mind was that he should have to clean his own toilet and make his own bed.

Where did this judge come from? How about a few more like him? Profound display of wisdom.

Gee, that's what happens when you are charged with criminal sex act, attempted rape, and unlawful imprisonment. What do "women's rights activists" have to do with anything?

... Damn those infernal women and the not wanting to be raped, when will they learn it's a man's instinctual right!

Nope. Freedom of association. Right to refuse service. Decision not based on race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, or nationality. Completely legal and non-discriminatory.

People facing legal action, criminal or civil, are not covered by discrimination laws.

Wow, so this international bankster/millionaire and noted lecher is the hapless victim of scheming feminists and their witchy wiles. I've seen everything now.

$200,000 a month! To keep a socialist out of jail?

The world has gone mad.

I see no reason to take that sort of view. This isn't the Durham rape case. The NYPD is world-class when it comes to investigating rape, and they have a first rate crime lab backing them up. If those people say there's enough evidence to file charges, then its not bullshit. This is how criminals are brought to justice. Conservatives should welcome the NYPD's vigilance.

New York Judges have a history of setting bail conditions only the rich can match. If you're rich enough they'll let you pay for the privilege of living in your own private jail. The other 99.9% of us get stuck in the underfunded and overburdened jail system. It's practically a modern day tower of London.
