Yet another ex-teammate testified on Lance Armstrong and EPO
It’s his old friend George Hincapie this time.
“60 Minutes” has learned that at least three of Lance Armstrong’s former teammates - including one of his closest, George Hincapie - have told federal authorities they used banned substances and saw Armstrong use them as well.
The Scott Pelley team’s investigation into Armstrong and the use of banned substances in pro cycling will be broadcast on “60 Minutes” this Sunday at 7 p.m. ET/PT.
Hincapie testified that he and Armstrong supplied each other with the endurance-boosting substance EPO and discussed having used another banned substance, testosterone, to prepare for races, “60 Minutes” has learned. Through his lawyer, Hincapie declined to be interviewed, citing the ongoing investigation.

There are two videos at the link. One is the video version of the story excerpted above, the other is a bit of the interview Tyler Hamilton did for 60 Minutes, which will be broadcast on Sunday. Tyler shakes his head “no” while he’s saying, “Yes, I saw Lance inject EPO. We all did it.” Liars shake their heads no while they are saying yes. CBS does not name their source for what they claim is Hincapie’s testimony. CBS has had low credibility since at least 2004. Armstrong has pointed out that each of his accusers is an admitted liar. However, they are starting to add up.
Here is Hincapie’s response via Twitter:

I can confirm to you I never spoke with “60 Minutes.” I have no idea where they got their information.

As I’ve said in the past, I continue to be disappointed that people are talking about the past in cycling instead of the future.

As for the substance of anything in the “60 Minutes” story, I cannot comment on anything relating to the ongoing investigation.

Lance is known to be an atheist, but I’ll bet he’s wishing he could be raptured about now.
