Shameful Acts by 2 of PR Governor’s Top Aides
Quick mental image: if major fraudster James O’Keefe had an aide appointment to any Governor office, what would his tasks be? Perhaps something like these two brain dead aides in Puerto Rico [translation][1]. These two aides, María Sánchez Bras and María Fullana Hernández, have been on a mission to check on public employee’s quality of service while undercover.
As a general principle, I wouldn’t object to that. However, it’s not the what, but the how: these two aides go to an unsuspecting office to apply for a governmental program similar to food stamps[2], sloppily dressed, and a badly done hair bun, wait several minutes, and then start screaming, demanding to be attended immediately in a hostile way. When the employees try to calm them, and ask them to take a turn, they ratchet up the scandal and the problems. They continue to escalate the situation until they want to talk to the supervisor. When the supervisor appears, they reveal (ta da!) that they are Aides from the Governor Luis Fortuño investigating the treatment public employees gives the public, still acting hostilely. When asked why sloppy dressed and acted out, they answered that they wanted to look and act like the people that go to get services. [PDF illustrating what happened]
So, not only are these two aides act hostile towards employees, they where insulting low income people who get food stamps. This “prank” has caused an outrage by different sectors of the Island.

[2] If not food stamps per se.
