Rick Perry? Rick “Texas should secede from the Union” Perry? This oughta be a laugh riot.

I think about a lot of things.

Gov. Perry has apparently discovered a meaning for the word ‘think’ that I hadn’t considered before.

At least one of the freep swampers thinks Goodhair is not conservative enough:

I really don’t like this guy (he’s my governor)…so I’ll keep posting essentially the same thing:

It’s a bummer. Perry has been very effective in KILLING the more conservative stuff before it gets to his desk, by using surrogates in the state legislature. In fact, he allowed a liberal to run the State House, even though we have a greater-than two to one majority over there…he could have pressed for a more representative leader…but didn’t seem to be interested.

Give the Republican majority in our State House and Senate, we should have turned this state into a right-wing utopia by now…but a certain governor did not really have that as an objective - rather he more wanted to sign a few token token pieces of legislation and be able to say the big stuff (like Arizona-type immigration laws, taking on the unions, taking on Big Education, for example) never made it to his desk…just conveniently died in the legislature…(emphasis added)

He’s really running for the VP slot. He’s as much of a dumb wingnut as Sarah Palin, but he ain’t no quitter. As a Texan, I wish he had quit several years ago.

I’m a Texan and Governor Goodhair has liberals like me longing for Bush as governor again. The Freepers are nuts.

With Perry as pres, we’d all be encouraged to have days, weeks, nay months of special prayer to undo global climate change, although it would not be called that, but “God’s displeasure” or some such.

Those who were not participating as Christians would be “going straight to hell with a nonstop ticket.”

However, at least he would have no objection if California seceded. Really, it would do us a lot of good. We could stop paying in tons of cash to a federal govt that doesn’t give us much back, and as a sovereign nation, our debt would be relatively tiny and our credit quite good. And we’d have to hold a constitutional convention, which we need.
