We still have to wait till January before we can start the process on Scooter. But if he looses the Senate, it'll be just as good because he'll get nothing done.

He won't lose the State Senate. Half of the recalls will fail, from there the union momentum will fade. By January, any recall drive against Walker will be lost amid primary season.

I just don't understand the average American there... He has done what he SAID HE WOULD DO.

If so many people were unhappy with what he was laying out, THEN WHY VOTE FOR HIM / NOT VOTE in the first place?

I did absentee voting and spent about 3 hours on my ballot looking at every damn person on it. People need to exercise their right / their damn minds to figure out what they want and who they want to support and come out to the elections when they are held.

That said, Scott Walker is a giant douche.

Wait a minute... I don't remember Scott Walker EVER saying this was a part of his plan to reduce the deficit in WI. As far as I can tell, this was totally out of left field and people were so angry because they elected him and then this all came about.

$5 to your favorite Charity says that Scott Walker looses the Senate & servers as W governor a shorter time than the Alaskan Quitter?

Part of the responsibility of the voter is to discern what is truth and false, what is doable, and what isn't.

An example that touched me closely: when the current governor of Puerto Rico, Luis Fortuño was a candidate, he promised that he would reduce the government spending by a substancial amount. His opponent, then-governor Anibal Acevedo-Vila, points out emphatically that such a move would require firing over 30,000 public employees. Fortuño riposted that the only person he was interested in firing was then-governor Acevedo-Vila[1], not the hard working people, and accused Acevedo-Vila of fear-mongering. When I heard that "promise" by Fortuño, I knew something fishy was going on. Without any profund knowledge on the Island's finances, I knew it was impossible to reduce the government budget without some firings.

Fortuño went on to win the election, featuring front and center the "I'm only interested in firing the Governor" promise. One of Fortuño's first laws when he became governor? A law authorizing the indiscriminately firing of thousands of public employees. How many have been fired so far? A little more than 23,000.

[1] Acevedo-Vila was also embattled by a corruption trial[2].
[2] The accusations were given early in the official electoral season, but the trial didn't start until next year. He was found not guilty because the evidence was paper thin.
