Heart Attack Grill closes after death of obese spokesman
A Phoenix-area restaurant that unabashedly touted its unhealthy menu even after the death of its obese spokesman has closed.
The Arizona Republic reports that the Chandler location of the Heart Attack Grill closed about two weeks ago.
The business’ phone is disconnected, and so is the Carefree home phone of owner Jon Basso.
The closure comes two months after the sudden death of the restaurant’s 29-year-old, 575-pound spokesman Blair River.
This may have been the real business killer:
… Customers weighing more than 350 pounds ate for free.
