The latest poll show the race being between Romney and Palin (should she run), with everyone else a far distant third. So right now Palin may be helping Romney by drawing all the attention to herself and thereby denying everyone else the opportunity to emerge as the anti-Romney. Romney is a credible presidential candidate—-he has demonstrated that he can govern capably and he’s not insane, so he would stand a decent chance against Obama in the general if the economy is still bad. If Palin does decide to run and wins the GOP nomination, its hard to see how that wouldn’t result in an Obama landslide.

Huntsman also said he believed in climate change, industrial pollution, etc. before he also said though he believed in it, doing anything about would be disastrous to the economy, therefore any action to lift a finger or deny corporations their God-given right to pollute in the name of profit is off the table.

They can say they believe in it, but doing anything about it and pissing off their corporate masters is suicide. Basically, saying they believe in it is lip service.

Romney has to make too many promises to put himself in the driver seat. Global warming and green energy will be the casualties to keeping those promises.

I wonder how mister “true teller” T-Paw will handle this? I wonder what “tough choice” this will cause him to espouse before his next teabag audience.

If Romney had to pick one issue on which to stand by his guns, this was probably the best one to pick: it’s massively important to every single person on earth. Also I think there are are still moderate Repulicans out there — quiet people, they are — who either already believe the facts about AGW, or who would be convinced if their party’s standard-bearer made the case.

I’d be delighted if Mitt got the nomination. It really isn’t good for the country to have anybody as dim-witted as most of his competitors come within reach of the presidency. I do NOT want a person on the national ticket who has been approved by Rush Limbaugh.

re: #4 elizajane

I’d be delighted if Mitt got the nomination.

He will under the following conditions:

1) He either renounces AGW acceptance or promises nothing will be done about it

2) He chooses Bachmann or Cain as his running mate

Gotta love this Rush drivel…

From his bashing of Romney…

We’re in the midst here of discovering that this is all a hoax. The last year has established that the whole premise of manmade global warming is a hoax…

This last year has seen massive predicted droughts in Texas, China and Australia. It has seen massive storms and floods in predicted patterns. It saw a winter pattern shifted as predicted. It is shaping up to be the hottest on record - after last year’s hottest on record and it is only June.

Yet brainwashed drones believe ridiculous liars like Rush rather than looking at facts that are currently hitting millions of people (in America alone) over the head.
