Tracy Morgan has issued what sounds to me like a pro-forma apology for a performance in which he said that if his son acted gay he would stab him.

Tina Fey, meanwhile, issued her own statement. Cute, funny, offering Morgan a little out, and pointing out indirectly that she employs a lot of gay folks on 30 Rock.

Interestingly, Fey’s statement does not mention the other part of Morgan’s rant. The sexist part in which Morgan allegedly said that successful women are the downfall of society and attempted to shift blame to women for many of the problems plaguing young people.

In addition, TMZ also reports that NBC Chairman, Bob Greenblatt, has warned Morgan about the incident. “We have made it clear to him that this kind of behavior will not be tolerated,” he said.
