3 cops killed in third Naxal strike in Dantewada in 3 days
Targeting the security forces again in Dantewada on Saturday, the Maoists attacked Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) base camp near Bhejji police station in south Bastar about 500 km south of Raipur, killing three para-military personnel and critically injuring three others. Dantewada district po lice chief Ankit Garg told Hindustan Times that the Maoists attacked the Bhejji base camp and the police station located nearby.
“The forces swiftly retaliated the attack and in the ensued gun-battle three CRPF men were killed. Additional forces have been rushed to the site. The chopper will soon be reaching the area to air-lift the injured personnel and the bodies”, Garg said.
