More Open Government: The FBI opens ‘The Vault’
This is great, as it provides access to historic and new files to the average citizen.
The Vault, at vault.fbi.gov, is our new electronic reading room, containing more than 3,000 documents that have been scanned from paper into digital copies so you can read them in the comfort of your home or office.
You can browse or search for specific topics or persons (like Al Capone or Marilyn Monroe). Thanks to new technology we have developed, you can now search for key words or phrases within some individual files. You can also bookmark our Recently Added page or subscribe to its feed to get the newest files when they are released.
