ANSWER is a pernicious lot, with a very anti-America agenda. They only pretend give a shit about people or world conflicts when it serves their greater purpose of tearing at the US.

If we (the US) were to declare war on ourselves, the ANSWER folks heads would explode trying to figure out how to spin it.

From the ANSWER home page....

By a margin of 2-to-1, people in the United States oppose the war in Libya, and there is growing Congressional opposition. The Obama White House offered an absurd rationale for its refusal to comply with the War Powers Act of 1973, asserting that the massive bombing of Libya by U.S., British and French war planes is somehow different from the "hostilities" associated with war

Looks like they're going to be voting Republican in the future. Tea Party!

Yeah, fuck people who want to be free from an oppressive dictatorship that kills it's own citizens./

A 2-to-1 margin? I highly doubt that.

Not to mention that, from my view, they are an anti-Human Rights group lot. It is perfectly reasonable for nation to intervene in the case of genocide and mass murder.

re: #3 Slumbering Behemoth

Yeah, especially since this has completely fallen of the radar of most people.

Probably quoting a fox news poll.

Here's an independently archived version of the page that I just generated via the WebCite service: [Link: bit.ly...] It's a good option as screenshots are easy to fake.

The difference is that Fox News is willing to have defenders of the intervention like John McCain on, nor has Fox lied about actual military actions. So that makes ANSWER Worse Than Fox.

ANSWER is a bunch of hateful tyrant worshipers and their spokespeople can go fuck themselves with railroad spikes.

ANSWER is a front group for a minor revolutionary socialist party (I forget the name, they all sound the same.). They take a very liberal reading of the Trotskyist philosophy of supporting any socialist regime over any capitalist power. Since Libya had a more or less socialist economy on Qdaffy, they will automatically support him.

This is why they always end up supporting tyrants. They would have (literally) supported Stalin.

No, their heads would not explode, they would just blame it all on Israel.

They are some offshoot of the RCP, Revolutionary Communist Party.

I doubt they would have supported Stalin, as they would be too busy bickering over purity issues, just like their stupid reactionary teabagger counterparts.

"Cynthia McKinney Reports"..

Well, that's all we need to know about that lot.

She's in bed with jackoffs like Daryl Bradford Smith, truther/moon landing denier, and the rest of the social conservative dictators, like Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamed of Malaysia. ANSWER is in bed with North Korea. Stupid dupes.

I don't know whether they would have supported Stalin or not but I do know this: The Workers World Party, one of the affilates that makes up International ANSWER was a supporter of the Soviet invasion of Hungary in '56 and later Afghanistan in the 70's. They're nothing but hypocrites as far as I'm concerned.

Thank to you guys, I've actually learned the history of ANSWER. I did not know they were affliated with these guys. I just thought that they were a moonbat organization. It's obviously more than that.

"They're not really Libyans! The Libyan-American community is too brainwashed with propaganda from living here too long to know what is really going on there!"

/yeah, could use a [moonbat] tag.

I stopped going to those ostensibly "antiwar" rallies of theirs in 2003 when I learned what/who they are. That wasn't the only reason, the main one being the nasty antisemitism.

Main difference being, ANSWER is stuck on street corners with bullhorns, looking like stupid a-holes. Fox is part of the #4 largest media conglomerate in the world, with 7% stake by the House of Saud.

This is a good point. Fox's bullshit influences the American right much more than ANSWER does the American left. I am not excusing ANSWER's crap, after all I hate their double standarded crap but Fox is worse in my eyes because they have more influence to spread the crap they do.

24 OhCrapIHaveACrushOnSarahPalin  Mon, Jun 20, 2011 7:28:18pm

BTW, I was wrong about the RCP bit in #15. Studying schismatics such as what's found in American Protestant Christianity and the rwnj right is a hobby of mine...better brush up on the moonbat sector.

Happy Warrior is right - many of them were from Worker's World Party. I was confusing the latter with World Can't Wait.
