So the completely fictitious Republican war against big Government continues apace, ehh?

Modern political Definitions:
Liberal-someone who wants government to watch over and take care of them from cradle to grave.

Conservative-someone who wants government to watch over and control their behavior from cradle to grave.

See we do have some common ground, we both want Big daddy government to take care of us. Can't we find some way to just get along? :p

One after another of these self righteous bags of worthless words has show that the laws they demand you abide by means nothing to them and theirs. Just ask Mr Duplicity Himself Holier Than Thou Rick "It's Different" Santorum.

Today in "less government"...

Eh, so what? The GOP got elected by promising to fix the economy instead of pursuing their social agenda. Now, they're attacking abortion from every possible angle.

...except promoting the use of contraceptives, to prevent unwanted pregnancies.

...or promoting the rights of gays, whom are the least likely to ever have an abortion.

Yet, draconian laws are fair game. See, its no big deal.

It makes perfect sense. How? Because shut the hell up! Thats how.

So all these "libertarians" who told me that the right wings 'States rights' agenda was the path to true liberation for all and "everything, including abortions should be left in state hands and that if it is illegal in one state, well they can just go to another state where it is legal" is bunk.

There was a time (may still be) when Ireland tried to prevent young ladies of a certain age group from leaving the country, fearing they were going to England to get an abortion.

I read about this years ago, no idea of the source.

I looked for the TXT of this legislation on Thomas and couldn't find it. Any idea of the Name or Number?

ah, I didn't look back far enough, January 2009?

H.R. 634

But I can't find the Senate version from this year the article refers to.

They are so full of crap. They only weep those croc tears for states rights because they, like everyone else know exactly what that means: states have the "right" to harass certain citizens and benefit others, and use the suppressed citizen's tax money to do so. And no one has anything to say about it.

Funny, we heard no such impassioned outcries about taxes during the golden era of bigots-rule states rights:
