War on Christmas! War on Christmas! Anti! Anti! Anti! The sky is falling! The sky is falling!

Chicken fucking little to the last.

re: #1 Locker

I posted a page earlier today that included this, from Nick Cohen. Seems very pertinent here.

Since the end of communist-inspired persecutions in all the old socialist countries bar China and North Korea, religious hatred has become unique among the prejudices. Overwhelmingly, it is directed by the religious against the religious. Domineering believers threaten members of their own faith when they break taboos by experimenting with new thoughts and ways of living.

Remind you of anyone, Alouette?

It's supposed to remind me of someone? The Phelps cult? Neturei Karta?

Anti-Zionist, anti-Israel, anti-Judaism individuals do not represent me "as a Jew." If they want to speak for themselves against other Jews, fine, but they have no authority to speak on behalf of the entire Jewish people whose faith and culture they reject.

The only domineering ones in this scenario are the little attention queens who cry when their "new thoughts and ways of living" (not so "new" their little "rebellion" has gone on for millennia) are rejected by the masses.

Why this precious little snowflake even wanted to join a synagogue board is beyond my understanding. If you don't like Judaism, go find another religion, or no religion!

Or, for that matter, another synagogue.

Or, for that matter, another synagogue.

All you need is ten Jews. Or nine. Or whatever the non-oppressive number is. And someone's living room. Presto--synagogue. I know lots of people who've done it quite happily.

No, you. Your targeting of Jews recently (last week it was Sarah Silverman) for holding views other than your own is getting to be a regular fixture.
