Uhhh, its pretty clear that Israel encouraged Greece to disallow the departure of ships to Gaza.

Example:

Haaretz: Netanyahu’s big fat Greek Wedding

Netanyahu has invested in his relationship with Greece over the course of the past year-and-a-half, and his gamble has finally paid off as Greece blocks Gaza-flotilla-bound departures from its ports.

From The article:

Just a day before, the prime minister spoke with his Greek counterpart, imploring him to issue an order preventing ships from disembarking from Greece toward the Gaza Strip. Unlike in the past, Papandreou responded positively, and a top Israeli official involved in the talks between the Greek prime minister and Netanyahu said that Israel knew as early as Thursday afternoon that Greece was planning to block ships from leaving its ports toward the strip.

Yes, Greece is responding to what Israel, a sovereign nation with whom they have a diplomatic relationship, wants.

Rather than to what a bunch of delusional ‘activists’ want.

Good on them.

It is entirely fair for sovereign nations to engage in what they perceive to be their best interests.

But to suggest, as “Turnabout Is Fair Play” does, that Israel had nothing to do with the disallowing of departure for the ships in Greece is ridiculous and frankly dangerous.
To conflate such an obvious case of international engagement with conspiratorial thinking endangers cases where conspiratorial accusations genuinely apply.

Fair enough, that.

Of course they have actually been blaming Israel every time one of them stubs their toe, or a piece comes off one of the junkers they bought. There’s a conspiracy-minded quality to this group.

I am not suggesting that Israel is not engaged diplomatically in attempting to stop the flotilla. But, as SFZ points out, it is the delusional inference that Israel is somehow shutting down every port in the Mediterranean that I find objectionable.
