Officer of the Year Arrested for Selling Meth
Last year, Officer David Britto was “Officer of the Year” in Boynton Beach, Fla. Today, he’s on trial for selling methamphetamines.
Britto was born in Brazil and moved to Queens, New York when he was seven. He then moved to North Carolina where he lived before joining the Marines. He served from 2001 until 2006. The 28-year-old former Marine has been with the Boynton Beach police Dept. since 2007. Along with being the department’s “Officer of the Year” award recipient last year, Britto was also a mentor for the Florida Community Alliance’s “Teen Police Academy” and has also made himself somewhat of a relationship and life expert.
The officer has at least three websites for various life-changing endeavors. One site blessedwarrior.com, is intended to help people find him for mentoring and motivational speaking. On howtowinmyexback.org he gives tips on how to win your ex back. (Who knows, maybe now imanofficersellingmeth.com is the works as well.)
Tuesday, DEA agents arrested Britto saying he “had and intended to sell more than 500 grams of methamphetamines between June 2009 and March 2011.”
The Boynton Beach Police currently cooperating with the DEA’s investigation.
