There are a ton of public works projects that ought to be funded immediately.

They may not be green or high tech or other 'sexy' jobs but they will pave the way for real economic expansion.

In addition cut taxes for small business (the backbone of the US economy) so they can expand and offer them further tax incentives to HIRE people. Doah! This ain't rocket science and has been done before and it worked!

I'm all for tax cuts for small business.

I'm also for cutting subsidies and loopholes for big business.

When companies like GE and a host of others can pay no taxes, something is very, very wrong.

I would like to see a list of regulation to be abandoned (FDA and the like) and a percentage in tax cuts that will make businesses suddenly hire hundreds of thousands the next day.//

Businesses are doing great. Profits are great, as witnessed by the stock market; they just aren't doing anything that creates genuinely new business beyond the next quarter.

If one wants innovation beyond stupid internet advertising (as evidenced by the ads on this blog), look outside the USA.
