Well of course. The argument against animals feeling pain is just humans avoiding the guilt emotion.

And from my experience, hardly scientific-They react to physical pain and in some way emotional pain. I think we can see this in house pets and even in the wild vie documentary footage when some tragedy happens to a member of the pack or the pride.

You may want to warn people there's a drawing of vivisection and a discussion about it on that page which I found extremely disturbing.

I talked to a vet about the idea that dogs seem to have a higher threshold of pain than humans. Not that they don't feel pain, they just tolerate it better. Dog owners can attest to this if you've ever seen a dog or cat get hurt and not yowl when you think they should.

My vet explained to me that instinctively, animals have learned to hide their pain because it's a sign of weakness and weakness will get you killed in the wild.

It's actually dangerous for dog owners who may not be aware the animal is hurt. You have to know your pet and if it looks like the animal is injured or sick, it's best to be overly cautious than not enough.
